Christmas Gifts of Love and Remembrance

My children made sure that Dad wasn't forgotten on Christmas and they each gave such a beautiful gift of love in remembrance of him.

The Anderson's gave this big saying/picture and I 'ugly cried' when I read it and I hope
every word of it is true and our "Big Boy" is with me always.

The Dempsey Family gave me this beautiful picture frame with a Red Cardinal.

The Wagner Family had Papa a gift under the tree. I'll wear it in remembrance of him.

Christmas Eve/Day

I went with The Dempsey Family to their Christmas Eve church service and then I spent Christmas Eve night with The Wagner's and woke up Christmas morning and celebrated Christmas with them and then I went the The Dempsey's house and celebrated Christmas with them and later drove back to Moultrie and went to The Anderson's house to see what Santa brought to Pax and Gracie.

My children and Grands made this first Christmas without Wesley a wonderful Christmas!  All was well and we made it through another first without our Dad/Papa.  Of course, it was different, but we enjoyed celebrating the birth of Jesus.

We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus at The Wagner household before we ate breakfast!

We visited Papa's gravesite.

Wagner Christmas

Dempsey Christmas

We went to The Dempsey's church for Christmas Eve services.

The Wagner's even had me matching pajamas and a stocking!

Pax looks great in his new cowboy outfit....especially the hat!

John and Mary Aaron writing a letter to Santa.....pleading their case????  They've been good?)

Mary Aaron and John putting out food for the reindeer.

Mama Lou and Papa Christmas

Christmas was not the same without our "solid rock" but we all made the best of it.  We had our traditional Mama Lou Christmas and I put Wesley's FSU hat and trash bag in his chair.  Papa always sat in a chair with a trash bag and collected all of the trash while the grands were opening their gifts.  Adam had the honor of filling in for Dad/Papa.

We missed him dearly, but I knowthat he was right there in spirit.  He wouldn't have missed it for anything!

We had the men helping cook!

In memory of Wesley...aka Dad/Papa, I placed his FSU hat and trash bag
in the chair where he always sat every year and collected the trash as everybody
opened their gifts.

Britni played the guitar while we sang Christmas songs.

Britni and Rosemary sang for us!

Adam 'filled in' for Dad this year.

Palmer wearing Papa's FSU hat.

Mary Aaron wearing Papa's FSU hat.

Mary Aaron was happy to see Harrison!

What a cutie!

Gracie and Dance/Tumbling Class

Gracie is enrolled in a cheer/tumbling class and she has worked so hard at learning how to dance, turn cartwheels, etc.  She practices all of the time!

December!

Braylee met us at church and surprised me!

I attended Gracie's Christmas Party at school.

Gracie with this different kind of Santa!

Pax's group from church sang recently during the service.

Julie and Gracie

Just look at how beautiful these two are!  Mother and daughter look-alike!
