Palmer still misses Mama Dee (her great-grandmama) so much and thinks about her all of the time. It's been two years since Mama Dee passed away, but Palmer still relates butterflies to Mama Dee and LOVES butterflies.
Palmer had SHOW AND TELL at school today, so she decorated a bag with butterflies. One for Mama Dee, Mama Lou, Papa, Mama, Daddy, Braylee, and Anabelle.
She also chose a school backpack with a butterfly on it. How sweet is my six-year old granddaughter!
My first little luvs are all grown up (Britni, Rosemary & Adam), but they have blessed me with FIVE granddaughters and TWO grandsons, .....Braylee (19), Anabelle (16), Palmer (14), Mary Aaron (11), John (9), Paxton (13), Gracie (8), and daughter-in-law, Julie, and two son-in-laws, Dwight & Bryce . Our lives are so enriched with such beautiful children and grandchildren.

Braylee Got Braces!
Braylee is 12 years old and in the 7th grade and she got her braces today. Such a big moment in a middle school child because most of the kids have braces!
She looks so beautiful and has such a big smile! She got the teal colored braces in memory of Mama Dee. How sweet is that! Love her so big!

First Week With Gracie Lou!
Gracie and I had a great time getting to know each other again on a daily basis. Gracie is 18 months old and so entertaining! She is very independent and knows what she wants, even though she can't always say what she wants. She LOVES to watch the nursery rhyme video of "The Wheels On The Bus!" We watch that video ten times a day! Gracie is so precious and I adore that big smile with that one dimpled cheek shining!
It's August and so hot that we decided to take a swim today!

The second week, I had a doctor's appointment and Gracie Lou stole everybody's heart! She was a doll baby and was so sweet!
Later, we had popsicles on the back porch. It's very hot outside in August!

The Difference Between DayCare and Mama Lou Care!
There are several reasons of why I prefer to keep our granddaughter, Gracie Lou, instead of her going to daycare, but here are a few.
- No schedule ~ Gracie can sleep as late as she would like (usually 9 a.m.)
- No sharing toys ~ Gracie has every toy to herself!
- She can stay in her pajamas as long as she likes (and she prefers to stay in PJ's)!
- She has Mama Lou's undivided attention! She doesn't have to wait "her turn."
- Mama Lou can sit and hold Gracie all she wants.
- We ride the golf cart, color, read books, visit places, water the flowers, go shopping, eat at Chick-fil-A, etc.
- The reasons are endless, but the main reason is because I love her so much.....and I am retired, so why not?
Gracie loves to watch "The Wheels on The Bus" all of the time, so we sit and watch lots of nursery rhyme songs. She knows the words to most of the songs!
We go out to eat whenever we want to, and if Gracie eats her lunch, she gets a treat!
Gracie loves to sit on the back porch and watch her cartoons.
Gracie and I toured the new PCOM (medical college) in Moultrie yesterday! Her favorite part was the simulation of the newborn baby.
