Anabelle made a very special cookie for Mama Dee. She made one with a cross and even used her favorite color for the cross (turquoise). She asked me if I would tie a balloon to the cookie so that it could fly up to heaven so Mama Dee could eat the cookie. Sometimes, it's the little things that make me so emotional. What tears this brought! It makes my heart smile to know how much my grands still think of Mama Dee. Just about every time I see Palmer, she tells me that she misses Mama Dee. Also, whenever Pax sees a butterfly, he screams with joy........MAMA DEE! I almost believe he actually sees her! It always catches me by surprise.
I hope that one day my GREAT grands (don't have any yet) will think of me and love me as much as my grands love Mama Dee. She made such an impact on their little lives. I am a very proud Mama Lou, because I know, my children are the ones that have continued to make Mama Dee a presence in their lives. The influence Mama Dee made in their lives, has been passed down to their children. What a legacy Mama Dee left for all of us.
A cookie for Mama Dee!
