We didn't get to celebrate the 4th with any of our children today, but we went to the Golden Eagle fireworks with The Dempsey's last night in Tallahassee. The Wagner Family is still in Columbus, Indiana, and The Anderson's are celebrating with some of their baseball friends, so Dad and I are spending a quiet, hard-working day to ourselves. Palmer and Pax have spent the last couple of nights with us (YAY) but Palmer went with Pax to their friend's July 4th celebration this afternoon/evening.
Dad and I have been working all day outside and getting a few things done while he is feeling a little stronger. With chemo, he has one feeling tired week (after chemo) and then two pretty good weeks and then start the cycle again, so we get what we can done while we can!
We are putting up string lights around the pool area so Adam helped Dad today putting in the 6x6, 12ft. post and putting concrete around the posts (you rescued us).
We, also, tore down the playset today:(. It has seen its' day, but it has served its' purpose, but the grands have outgrown that small set. We are going to building a swingset only now, because even as an adult, I like to swing! Never too old to swing!
