Deacon Ordination Service for Adam

One of the greatest honors of Adam's life happened recently.  He was elected as a deacon at First Baptist Church Moultrie.  All of the attending members voted on that Sunday (Sept. 8th) and Adam got a call from Pastor Matt that same Sunday afternoon that he had been elected.  Adam called to tell me the news and that was the most exciting news!  It is such an honor that our congregation thought enough of him (and Julie) to want him to be a leader in our church.

Adam and Julie have been very active in our church for some time now and his leadership ability was noticed.  Adam has grown up attending that church so everybody knows him.  Some of the other deacons have teased Adam that their deacon meetings will never be the same now.  LOL!  Everybody knows that Adam keeps things "light and happy."

Being a deacon is such a huge responsibility and Adam will do well.  We haven't had a deacon in our family since my daddy passed away 55 years ago (Daddy was a deacon at Oak Grove Baptist Church we he passed away at the young age of 41).

Rosemary was unable to attend because she was home with pneumonia.

The BEST hug!  I'm such a proud Mama!

Britni and I got to pray with Adam and Julie during the Deacon Ordination Service

Mary Aaron In The Hospital

Our poor little Mary Aaron had been very sick for two weeks.  She visited the doctor four times and the antibiotics weren't working properly.  Turns out, she had pneumonia and was admitted into the hospital!  That precious thing was very sick! Mary Aaron missed two weeks of school:(

Rosemary and Mary Aaron didn't get to go to Lake Blackshear with us because of her illness.  This was their hotel stay (LOL).

Still smiling and feeling better!

Trying to do homework but just too sick (this was before they found out
that she had pneumonia.

Palmer and Volleyball

Palmer is having a great volleyball season!  It's so exciting and our girl is learning the trade of the game very well!

Jusy look at this beauty!
P.S.  She actually was very sick with pneumonia and went to the gym just long
enough to take this picture.

Palmer blocked the ball!  YAY!

Lake Blackshear Vacation

We went to Lanier's house again at Lake Blackshear for our family vacation but everybody didn't get to go.  We arrived on Friday evening and by the time we got there, we found out that Mary Aaron was admitted into the hospital.

Rosemary sent Bryce and John on to the lake and she and Mary Aaron would drive up on Saturday.  Mary Aaron had been sick for two weeks and had been to the doctor four times, but things got worse on Friday evening and Mary Aaron was taken to the ER and then on to the hospital.  She had pneumonia and needed antibiotics intravenously.

Dwight had covid and Britni didn't feel well either (later tested positive for covid too) so we were missing a few of our family members.

The following week, Rosemary got pneumonia too!  The Wagner's and Dempsey's have been through it!

It all started with Anabelle having strep throat, then Palmer with pneumonia and then Braylee with covid, then Dwight and Britni with covid.

It has been a tough few weeks for The Wagner's and Dempsey's!  Everybody is on the mend now.

We made the best of it that we could.  We didn't have a boat because Dwight was too sick to drive up with his boat, so Adam rented a pontoon boat for us on Saturday.  At least we got to ride around the lake a little bit.

Harrison had a difficult time staying on the ....what's that thing called?

Braylee reading and relaxing

Harrison is on the pink float and Braylee on the blue float

Adam stayed upright!

The ice cream boat was a big hit!

John was not a happy boater!

I told John if he would smile for the camera, I would let him have my phone
and this is what I got:)

I texted Rosemary and asked if I should be worried.....with Bryce driving
the boat! LOL!
