Today marked the beginning of a new journey for Wesley (aka...Dad and Papa). Today was his first chemo treatment for prostate cancer that has metastasized into several areas of his body.
Wesley was diagnosed in July of 2021, and has been in treatment with hormone therapy treatment ever since, but unfortunately, the cancer has figured out a way to out-smart the treatment and has begun to grow, therefore, chemo is the next form of treatment to knock the socks off of that monster!
Wesley is a trooper! He will glide through the chemo with the same positive attitude, grace, and determination that Mama Dee had. As the doctor stated, having a positive attitude and staying active are two of the best things to do while fighting cancer.
Let's get this done (FSU War Chant.......)!!!
